Point of View (POV) Breakfasts

The Family of Woman Film Festival presented its inaugural Point of View (POV) Breakfast sessions in 2015.  This feature was created to give donors of $500 and above an opportunity to engage in informal conversations with unique leaders, who are making a difference in the lives of women and girls around the world.

Thursday, March 1

Ugochi Daniels, Chief of the Humanitarian Branch of UNFPA, the UN agency for reproductive health and the rights of women, will address her work with women and their families marginalized by war and natural disasters at the POV Breakfast on Thursday, March 1. Before joining UNFPA, Daniels worked with USAID in her native Nigeria. Prior to her current assignment at UNFPA, she worked with UNFPA’s adolescent program in Africa, was UNFPA Deputy Representative in Nepal, and UNFPA Representative in the Philippines, Daniels will also lead the discussion following the presentation of the Festival’s opening night film, “Mama Colonel”, Thursday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. at The Sun Valley Opera House. The second POV Breakfast speaker, on Friday, March 2, is Susan Sygall, a MacArthur Fellow and expert in the area of international development, educational exchange and leadership programs for persons with disabilities. She is the CEO and Founder of Mobility International USA (MIUSA), whose mission is to empower people with disabilities around the world to achieve their human rights through international exchange and international development.
