Synopsis

“The Eagle Huntress,” is set against the breathtaking expanse of the Mongolian steppe and follows Aisholopan, a 13-year-old girl, as she trains to become the first female in twelve generations of her Kazakh family to become an eagle hunter, rising to the pinnacle of a tradition that has been handed down from father to son for centuries. This film is suitable for all ages.

KETCHUM, IDAHO—The 10th annual Family of Woman Film Festival, Feb. 27-March 5, 2017 has sold out of the screening of the documentary feature “The Eagle Huntress” (Mongolia, 1 hr. 41 min.) produced by Stacey Reiss. Reiss will be present for the Festival and participating in a Q & A following the film. If any tickers are returned for purchase for the Family of Woman Film Festival screening, they will be released at 6:45 p.m.
